they say life's uncertain and full of unknown possibilities. but one thing's certain: i suck at chemistry. really really suck at it. i can understand and retain the info for the day, then totally get lost in it the next. i don't even know how i managed to scrimp a pass for my mid-years. i totally suck in it. serious. i was stuck for 2 hours trying to do my workbook chapter on redox. 2 hours! and gave up on wanting to start on bonding. so enough said: i suck at chem.

finished reading Jennifer Government. planning to start on The Second Horseman by Kyle Mills (which is something a la the Bourne series) and finish up Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan (which is a kiddie story.. a kiddie story that i enjoy reading a lot and expose me to greek mythology).

anyway, as i mentioned before, Jennifer Government deals with the issue of globalization. now, i'm not against the idea; it's already happening. but what happens when the East tries too much to be like the West until all the Eastern values are scraped away just like that? yes, we're living in the modern world, where technology is accelarating at full speed. but us in the East should be integrating these stuffs into our lives, not converting to them. this trend is rather worrying..

as motivational books go, most of us teens tend to dismiss them. i admit, sometimes i do. you know books like Rich Dad,Poor Dad , those sort of stuffs adults seem to love? i tried reading it and it doesn't really cut it for me. but a year back (and i wonder why it took me so long to blog about it), my parents gave me a book: A Guide For Teens: The 6 Most Important Decisions You'll Ever Make by Sean Covey. guess what? it ain't boring. in fact, i like reading it. the language is informal and the tone is rather humorous, and there's stupid cartoons to make you laugh. but most importantly, the content is there, and it's great. of course, application may take some time, but still, there's the motivation...

and i have decided to plunk in my Maybelline Unstoppable mascara into my bag for OBS at pulau ubin. that's the simplest, safest and my most trusted make-up around. you can never go wrong with a mascara.

and i love Sheila Majid's voice. it sounds so perfect with almost any song she sings. she's truly Asia's Queen of Jazz. respect her for that!

and i downloaded a few vids from maybelline new york's website on make-up application. i wish i can get a bronzer. the bronzed look is so in right now. sighs..

cinta jangan kau pergi, tinggalkan diriku sendiri..
love please don't go, leaving me here all alone..
