2 blog entries in one day?? god, i must be bored. anyway, did web-surfing and found out more about the new perfume that i've been wearing (and spraying only twice, only to have my friend, nanthini say ,"Syafiqah, I can smell your perfume" and my chem teacher to comment upon smelling it, "Diffusion works fast" one minute after i sprayed it)
intimately BECKHAM for Her The closeness of sensuality
The first feminine fragrance, bearing the Beckham monogram, conveys the essence of the Victoria known only to the people closest to her.
An opulent bouquet of white flowers opens with the purefresh notes ofbergamot and rose petals that linger on the skin. Announcing the arrival of something special, something different. The exquisite heart ofCasablanca lily, sublimetuberose and sensualorange blossom leads to a seductive base of voluptuous vanilla, rich sandalwood and elegant, sensual layer of musk.
All woman, all self assurance, multi faceted and all inspiring...
godd..i lurvee the scent!!!!

i have tons of homework lined up prettily, waiting for me to pick up my pen and grab a foolscap paper to complete them. but sorry homework, i'm just too tired and bored to even think about it.
my dad managed to get the tickets for the AFF Cup semis at the National Stadium tomorrow between Singapore and Malaysia. man..i can't wait. this is the first time i'll be attending a football match within a full house (yup, there's only 10 200 tix left)! yay! can finally know what it feels like to be at a stadium for a match.
the rivalry between Singapore and Malaysia ranges over a lot of things. but the most distinct one is football. i wasn't born yet back in the Malaysian Cup days, but i do know how fierce the rivalry is: extreme. maybe it has something to do with our countries' historical link. but i get the feeling it has more to do with Singapore winning the Malaysian Cup before...
my tix are at the gallery. i'd have loved the grandstand, but all 3000 tix were snapped up as soon as they were sold. so i'm stuck in the gallery. but that's ok, i guess. i'll still get to watch the match.
anyway, i took a look at my common test schedule and it's very depressing. there are 2 days where i'll have 3 papers in 1 day. and i thought the 5 upcoming tests next week was bad.. what else does the school have in store for us?
and besides, although we students have to over-exert our brain to pass these tests, it'll be the teachers who'll be having a lot more work than us. lol.. just pure schaudenfreude.. haha..
ya know, sometimes i think that i like certain subjects due to the teachers. for instance, i don't mind having additional maths lesson because ms ang is fun and hyper. i don't switch off and/or fall asleep during her lessons. and i make an effort to try and do the questions even though i know it's not going anywhere. (the other maths lesson..well..you get the idea when i say my class view it in the extreme and wondering what drastic steps to take..) and even for chemistry. he's quite funny and then the way he talks is also quite cute sometimes. haha..
and i just can't get the chorus of the songs Janjiku by SOFAZ and Hapus Aku by Nidji out of my head! Janjiku goes like this:
Bukakanlah pintu hatimu Izinkan aku kembali padamu... Ku sesalkan perbuatan ku ini Tak akan berulang lagi ku janji... Terimalah ku kembali kasih...
and the chorus for Hapus Aku is:
Yakinkan aku Tuhan Dia bukan milikku Biarkan waktu waktu Hapus aku… Sadarkan aku Tuhan Dia bukan milikku Biarkan waktu waktu Hapus aku…

sharah and i were walking back to class from recess, and then we passed by the chemistry lab. then i said, "we got lee after this". she nodded and said, "yeah, chem. got no homework, rite?" me: no lah. mana ada. eh, kau dah tengok buku TYS chem? rabak sia. sharah: ah ah. don't know, all teh symbols..it's all chem talk. i don't speak chem. i speak english. me: (laughed) sama lah. aku cakap bahasa melayu. dengan english. sharah: tu ah. it's all chem talk. i don't understand.
then we were climbing the steps at the mini forum when suddenly i saw our chem teacher heading into the staff room behind us. haha..fancy stepping out of the lab and hearing your students saying they don't talk chem language. (sorry mr lee..just joking..really.. we listen to you in class..)
had french again today, and i swear, i'm gonna really lose my top with that teacher. look, i know for a fact that my class is one of the weaker class, but there's no need to say "I've explained it but you people are just too stupid enough to understand!". that's totally unethical! a teacher shouldn't be spurting words like that, especially in the weaker classes. she should give encouragement, not hurl abuses at us. anyway, during the break, the whole class went out and everyone was cursing her in some language or two. so it was a rather colourful entertainment down the steps.
my weekend workload is almost unbelieveable. maths d class homework, maths d weekend homework, higher malay dialogue, add maths homework, and 14 pages of the 14 conjugated French verbs (waste current aje..). there's more but i just can't remember.
and i'm so glad singapore made it through to the AFF semis. they drew 2-2 with indoensia, but top the team on goal difference after that eleventh heaven 11-0 win over Laos. haha. they'll be facing malaysia in the semis, which will be held over 2 legs; 23 and 27 January. the second leg will be played at Kallang.
talking about Kallang, dropped by kallangroar.com just now while i was doing my daily read on redcafe.net. the posters were all planning how to go about showing their support for the Lions. some wanted to do banners (then keep asking: must have permission from police is it?), some planned to buy the tix in advance in bulks (and chope the best seats first - at the gallery) and others planned to come down with their friends and get the whole kallangroar community at section 34B.
actually, i myself am looking forward to the Causeway clash. it's just that whole SG vs Malaysia thing. i know channel 5 won't show the semis, but they'll only show the finals. what sort of coverage of local sports coverage is it, man? some more, the games are on a weekday night. students can't really make it in time for the match. at least start showing from the semi-finals. then people can support both at the stadium and at home. otherwise we'll have to depend on sleague.com's live text match updates to see the scoreline.

my school's wireless network was infected with a virus, and its telltale sign of hit being hit: the icons will change into pandas. reason: they opened a file labelled postcard.exe. this will deactivate all the exe programmes in the tablet PCs, including microsoft office and even the anti-virus software. but somehow, some girls got their panda with joss sticks as well.
i know it's serious, but it's rather amusing. pandas on desktop? with joss sticks?
*trying hard not to laugh while imagining it*

firstly, for my friends from french class: we had one hell of a day at Delifrance, let's maintain kekecohan kita.. (From Left to Right: Izza, Zafirah, Tasneem)
it's only the 2nd week of school and i can already guess what my workload will be like in the next few months. i'm not complaining..just goes to show i need to really focus. but it's hard, man. i mean, my brain only starts functioning properly at 8am, and is on stand-by at around 12pm..

it was the first week of school and i got the inkling of how hectic my life is. before i narrow out the negative stuffs, let's point out the good stuffs. yes, school is energy-zapping physically and mentally, but it's part of what they (who's they? the public?) call school culture.
The Good.. - there is higher malay to look forward to. now, in a girls' school, there's no cute boy in the class whatsoever (and even if there is, sorry bro, not interested cos there's already someone[s] in my heart..but anw..) but i just love the language, so that's why i look forward to it. the best (or maybe not so best) part: there are only 8 Secondary 3 higher malay students under Cikgu Rina. and we got this small classroom opposite the dentist, near the canteen, so it's really cosy. and the small number is ok, cos the 8 of us (ok, the 6 of us) are the noisy ones. so..yeah.. very meriah!! but there's still that o level malay paper we'll have to take this year...
- i get great teachers for biology, social studies, a maths and geography. e maths..well..let's wait and see her true potential and if i can understand her teachings. i think i'm gonna love ss, cos it's all about the governmental aspects of Singapore. but i'm still complaining about the 7% GST..
- i'm a first year SMA (upper sec in indonesian) student. which equates to just one year left before it's goodbye crescent..
The Bad..
- have to start waking up at 5am every morning.. my brain will be frozen into zombie monotonous before it gets cracking at 8am.
- the school uniform..arghh!!! i can't do anything about it's pattern or colour, so yes, i (reluctantly) accept it.
- the homework. i'm 'lovin' it..
The Ugly..
- the stress
- mass run
- the diabolically heavy tablet pc (and NO, i am NOT lugging it everyday..so go ahead, give me my first demerit..)

I was 'very close' to England job - Capello
Real Madrid manager Fabio Capello has admitted he was urged to apply for the England job and that he was approached to be the new coach at Manchester United when Sir Alex Ferguson revealed he planned to retire.
Capello told FourFourTwo magazine: 'I was very close to England. I was asked some time ago, before they chose [Sven-Goran] Eriksson to go for the England job.'
He claims he did apply for the job and does not know why he was not short-listed.
'They didn't choose me. You'll have to ask the people who were there at the Football Association. I wouldn't like to say.' He also claims he was approached when Ferguson announced he would be leaving Old Trafford six years ago but then decided to stay.
